As many of you have probably noticed, modern vehicles have been getting bigger and bigger in comparison to their earlier model years. This is expected due to new safety regs, customer demand, etc, but here's a potatocam example of my Jeep making friends at work just how drastic it is: The current gen Wrangler is outsizing the Cherokee, which was originally its bigger brother.

PS If this is your Wrangler, nice rig! Let's go take these guys out in their natural habitat sometime!

Not sure if these are to scale, but still, the CJ was tiny compared to the SJ.

The original Cherokee had the same wheel base as the Wagoneer, which is much bigger than the XJ.

Lol, that JKU appears to be on factory springs, maybe a 1.25" spacer kit at most, with factory 32" tires. Park my JKU with is 4" lift and 35" tires next to it if you really want to thing the JKU is big...

Yea, especially if it was next to a stock XJ!

To go even further back, a Willys Jeep is the same size as a side-by-side.
